Do these spigots sound right?
« on: 23 December 2010, 12:08 »
I have a set of 18" Team dynamic Jet silver alloys on my mk4 golf and ever since I got them fitted ive had slight steering wheel vibration. I took it back to the wheel shop but they said everythings fine so took it to ATS they said some alloy wheel shops use cheap ill fitting spigots and that could be the fault so I took it to another tyre centre and they said the same so ive bought some new quality spigots size 73.1-57.1 do they sound correct? Is it true you get poor quality spigots and good quality ones? Could they of put ill fitting spigots on and would that cause slight steering wheel vibration at speeds over 50 mph

The balancing, tracking and tyres were checked and all where fine thats why the blame was directed at the cheap looking spigots

For the work it does, no such thing as cheap spiggots, plastic or metal is fine, unless the ones fitted are the wrong size, 57.1 is the correct size.
