Main lights.
« on: 15 December 2010, 19:43 »
Right, my lights on my 85 gti  are sh!t.

apart from HID's or crystal light dishes,  anybody got any good results from bulbs availble (you know 1000000 times better, see round corners, guarenteed not to set fire etc etc) from halfrauds ?

Talking main, full is ok, but i get the feeling people dont like it when I have them on and they're coming the other way

Read the thread above on headlight wiring. FYI the lights are dim because they don't get the full 12v.  Hence the DIY loom.

As above...

Don't fit HID's your headlights aren't made for them and you will have issues eithier with the MOT man or Plod...

As Such they are Illegal to fit!!

just to echo what everyone else has said re uprated looms, theyre definitely worth the money (or effort if you're making one yourself)

i was getting 9v at the headlamp plugs, and it was like driving with candles.

since i made a new loom, i now get just over 12v and the difference is startling.

ref bulbs, i fitted phillips vision plus and can recommend them :afro:

I don't think a semi will give the same results
