under boost then over boost
« on: 11 December 2010, 11:18 »
been having problems with boosting, i changed the AIT sensor on the inlet and it made it better, I then took my "NON COMPATIBLE" N75 H valve off, and replaced it with an old N75 C valve, now the C valve is causing more over boost and intermittent boost than the H valve was.

what's the chances of both valves being FUBAR or does it appear im now looking in the wrong place?

do i just buy a new valve, F? or J? i like the way the H reacts when it decides to work correctly

oh and if i unplug the n75 it just boosts to 8psi, like it does when being intermittent.

regards

well, think i may of found my issue after all.

my own fault!

i have a recirculating SPLT-R valve from forge on my car, with the adjustable spring compressor.

to start with i had the spring compressor adjusted to tight.
and second i had it on the wrong way! cant believe it to be honest. a dump valve that's horizontal.

i went onto forge and they have in bold letters a caption stating that it fits on back to front.

so my DV wasn't letting any pressure through, resulting in all the pressure being kept in the manifold, and then throwing up the error code 17963 all the time.

just put it all on correct, nailed it around abit using all the boost possible. checked for codes and got nothing.

no pressure drop between dv and turbo
and no upper boost limit exceeded

jobs a good'un

and i feel like a tit.
