Hi guys, I'm from NZ and looking at getting a golf. The mk4 gtis seem like the best available in my price range. Not much info around on them here so I thought I'd ask the experts
sorry for all the stupid questions! Done quite a bit of reading on here already that has been helpful.
At factory specs it seems like fuel economy might be somewhere around 25-35mpg? What octane fuel should they run on?
Obviously regular servicing is key, do many people use the 0w40 oil specified by VW? From reading on here it seems more people use 5w30 or 10w40.
Do they create much road noise?
They're a little smaller than other cars I've looked at, do the rear seats fold flat like in a wagon?
Would 84,000 miles considered high mileage? Are there any expensive common faults that develop?
