MK3 AGG 20L GTI VERY BAD MPG + HOLDS BACK WHEN GUNNED !

Hi i,am new here guy,s ,can anyone help ,my GTI is realy bad on fuel and hold,s back when you gun it ,its already had a new coil pack leads, dizy cap,rotor arm and plug,s ! It run,s alright if you drive it normaily /slow anyone got any advise what it could be !  My 1.8 SE mk3 golf was much better on fuel !

have you cleaned your throttle body out as its a very common prob also it would be good if you got it hooked up onto vag com and that will tell you all the faults aswel!

Cheer,s m8 did,nt think about the throttle body ,will strip it down and clean it out,will have to get computer on it if it still plays up ,thank,s for advise .

dunno if the mk3 is the same as mk2 but i have had the same problem with my airflow meter playing up! making my mk2 run really rich and pinking alot when pinning it! it was a dodgy connection with mine!
