Paid a deposit on a Corrado KR today. Was gonna go straight back to collect it, but its not taxed so came home to sort everything out but Adrian Flux close at 1pm! What sort of insurance company closes at 1pm on a saturday! I mean surely this is the busiest time for them with people buying new cars at the w.end! Gotta wait til Monday now.
Anyway car in question is a 1.8 16v KR as mentioned, in Dark Burgundy Pearl. (looks like an over cooked burgerdy wherry!)
Needs a little bit of work mechanically and superficially (although none of it is essential), but I wanna get it looking nice.
Engine feels strong, has uprated clutch kit, reconditioned gearbox in 2007, short shifter, Borbet C's with about 7mm tread on the tyres, drilled grooved disks with green stuff pads all round, heatwrapped 4 branch manni, a spare drivers wing as the one thats on has cracked paint where a dent was pushed out, a spare 50mm inlet manni, a couple of drive shafts, sensors, gasket set, etc etc........ Good price for what it is too which I'm happy about. May need a new battery but thats not exactly a deal breaker.

Good service history (up to 128k and now on 157k as the last few were done by him (although no receipts)) but he seems genuine and has 3 mk2s and a mk1 cabby in his outbuilding, oh and a mk3 tdi thats the daily hack, but thats left out in the cold!

Should have some pics up on Tuesday once its had a good clean and polish hopefully.

Looks very tasty man! Cloth or leather interior? You know those side mouldings HAVE to come off ;) and maybe replace the front 16v badge with a chrome one? Looking forward to more pics :)

It's early cloth, but in good nick apart from drivers bolster which has torn. Will be looking into new interior in the new year. Door cards, dash, pillars and headlining are all black though so none of the vulgar early grey left.
