Hi guys,

I have running problems with my Mk2 golf G60 conversion.

I bought a month or so ago and when i went to collect it there was an issue with it misfiring & hunting, we pushed in relay 80 and that solved it so when i got back i replaced the relay thinking it had an intermitant problem... that has not helped!

Basically when turned on its idle's ok until it gets warmish and then it starts hunting and wants to die.

I have so far done the following:

changed the blue temp sensor
new bosch super 4 plugs
checked all HT leads
Replaced dizzy and arm
checked and replaced 2 vacuum pipes
cleaned out the ISV
Checked CO POT which only seems to read up to 170ohmz..... possible issue!?
Also it is not currently running a lambda which may also be an issue.

After fitting these parts the car sounds smoother initially but is still hunting and trying to die just sitting still, after a few minutes you cannot drive it!

I am aware that if the ecu finds more than 1 fault it goes into limp mode although it is strange that it only seems to happen when the car is almost at full temp.
Basically if there is anyone that lives in bucks and is very familiar with these engines i would be more than happy to pay for your petrol if you could come and have a look and diagnose the issue.
The reason i say this is that i am happy to but a new co pot and wire up a lambda but if that does not solve it i will be really pissed off and want to be back on the road by the end of the month.

Thanks in advance.

Dude you're posting here and over at Dubforce they all have said even me said test out each componet and even you have said the Co pot is around 180ohms we are saying it should be 400-500 ohms.
Whats the issues reagardless if there is another issue involved why don't you just buy a Co pot from GSF ECP, GPC, Bigboys toys etc....
You bought a G60 it has failed parts replace them I've spend over £500 on mine to get it running right?
So someone turns up you pay him a £50 he tells you your ISV is bad, well thats about a ISV's worth...!
You pay the next guy £50 well that could be the Co pot replacement etc.
I just don't get why you don't buy the parts or ask on here if you could borrow the parts for testing?
If its money issue then sell it on to someone who can spend cash to get it right?
Just going around in circles?

Clipperjay you are too nice for your own good!

I dont mean to spam the hell out of all the forums recently, im just really keen to get the car running right for when i am back on the road.

Ill get some parrts ordered tomorrow, i checked prices for a co pot and that was £70 at euro and the isv was £200!!! but ive had bad experiences with euro in the past so Ill see what GSF quote tomoz.

The money isnt too much of an issue, im just getting frustrated.

Thanks again mate.
