interior light dumb question

where's the contact switch ???
My interior light stopped working this morning when  only the drivers' door
is unlocked. If I unlock all the doors it works again !

built into the door module itself

sounds like you may have a knackered door module  :sad:

Possibly the convenience unit is not being told that the door is open. Sounds like a micro-switch in the door module.
I've learnt a lot about this recently, look at my recent posts.
It may well be a dry joint, as mine was :wink:

That will mean taking the door module out......not a 5 minute job, especially if it is your first time.

VAGCOM may help you to determine the position of the micro-switches :undecided:
