Helloooo everybody! I have recently bought this beast...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200505427582Had quite a drive to pick it up but when I got there the guy said he had been quoted £1000 by his garage to sort the head gasket. This was after he paid £150 for a new heater matrix (Which is good to hear that there is a new one after reading some topics on the forum about these!) so he was getting rid.
After getting it home after a long drive at 40mph with the beast on a tow dolly I drained the fluids in preperation to get on with the job. Actually getting on with it today and its more work than I first thought what with the bloody awkward manifold bolts! Will hopefully have it running soon after seeing where the gasket has blown and after replacing gaskets, water pump, cam belt, tensioner etc.
