Help needed
« on: 27 September 2010, 19:23 »
New to VWs and own a 20v Turbo thats developed an annoying fault, car starts and takes me to where i am going turn it off come back later and try and start it up and it will not run, it turns over but does not fire. Had it code read today no codes showing tried both keys no joy.  I sit swearing at it for a bit keep trying to start it and eventually it starts as though nothing is wrong.

I have read through this forum for ideas and fuel pump relay and crank sensor pop up, if these are faulty would it not store a fault code?

Any thoughts gratefully accepted as i can only swear at it for so long

could be a number of things...

first try unplugging your maf sensor and seeing if it starts if it does replace with a genuine bosch

check the voltage from the battery and altenator

switch the ignition on and let the fuel pump prime prior to starting, beyond this could be a number of things best use the search function on here
