Rubber Drying Blades?

Used to use one of these on my last Alfa, not used one on my golf though.

What are your views on them? Do they scratch the paint?

I wouldnt go near one, get a good drying towel instead !

Come now. They even did a stint about this on Fifth Gear. The blades scratch and damage the paintwork. If you want to do that, surely rubbing some grit across the paintwork would be more effective?

Yeah i agree - i've got one of the Waxamomo drying towels and it brilliant! I wouldn't use one but i saw a valeter cleaning a 5-series for one of my neighbours and he was using one!

I only ever use one on the glass...never the bodywork though......if it gets dropped it gets binned

i wouldnt even use one of these to clean my home windows

i used to use one couple of yrs ago, but then I found all these hairline scratches all over the car nightmare gadget that should be banned

before i bought the golf, i had an astra, took it to the poles for as quick clean before i sold it...

they scratched it with the blade and took off all the lacquer off the alloys by using too much of that stuff they use, so then the alloys looked like they were in primer
