not sure if this is the right forums mods...

anyway, my mate has just given me an idea...

we are currently sitting here trimming the last piece of my interior for my show car, and weve yet to cut the holes for the seat belt bolts on the B pillars

but instead of cutting the holes, are waist belts legal? ie from the lower b pillar to the clip by the handbrake, hence not having the shoulder section... this way its different and i wouldnt have to cut my trim

and before harnesses is suggested, i dont want harnesses, i dont see the point of them considering this car will never go above 40mph, lol

Not sure on the legality, but waist belts are just plain stupid.

If you value your spine, but a proper 3 point belt in there.

fair enough, it was just a thought, guess ill be cutting my new trim to fit the seat belts  :sad:

have lap belts in the back of the mk1... they might as well not be there for all the protection they'd give in the event of an accident, dread to think what would happen if it rolled over  :lipsrsealed:
