going to do the wur mod to my kjet abf mk2 soon, then take it to be rollin roaded.. ive read the how to, but is 5 bar system pressure always ideal, and the 48psi (3.4 bar) control pressure always right aswell? i dont really wanna mess with it all if i gotta pay the rr man to re-adjust it anyway.. has anyone done the wur on a standard abf on kjet and know their settings?

why not take it to stealth, they are experts on this mod and can set it up properly on their rolling road

system pressure of 5bar is where you want it, right in the middle of the acceptible zone. 48psui control pressure is a good ball park figure, ideally you want to get it tuned with an afr gauge hooked up so you know exactly what the fusel system is doing, then you can tweak it to suit. trouble with the wur mod is its only right for a certaion area of the rev range, it changes fueling globally so its kinda a bodge. its a bodge that mostly works though. trouble is when you start adding lots of bits to make the car go faster the wur mod is only of limited use. best solution for heavily tuned 16v on kjet is a k-star as you can fully remap the fueling and ignition. trouble is you need to find the proepr spark+fuel version, and also find a man who can tune it for you.  think stealth has a suitable man installed iirc?

at the end of the day though k-jet is showing its age, no knock sensors so running it on the edge is more risky. Proper  EFI is the way forward for maximum flexibility and safty.  Still need to find a man to tune it for you, but there are more of them around  :grin:

well ive just bought a kstar off ebay. all ive got is the box and some short cut wires though :sad:  the guy says i can splice it into my ecu loom just before it goes into the plug, does this sound right? im guna try n fit it up, do the wur mod to the forementioned settings, then chuck it back to the rr man and say get what u can from it.... stealth is 2 much of a work up, im on my 3rd engine now, this will be the 2nd rr setup on this one, and what with all the ££££'s spent already i jus cant warrant takin it miles away when i can get it setup by an old school bosch rr man, theyre actually an auto electrical place, so may have ms dos and the software to tune the kstar... plus if stealth send me away cos sumfin isnt rite and they cant do out, then im miles away from home/spares rather than 20 mins...

yeah thats basically what you do, but unless it comes with a diagram you arnt gonna know which wires go where. maybe ask stealth they might have some info on it. otherwise I'd post up on clubgti and do a search on there. im sure someone will be able to help you out with pics of their k-star system :)
