temp sensor

Hi
can anyone help??
i have lost the outside temp sensor on my '92 mk3 gti and part of the wiring loom as well(haven't got a clue how!!) , does anyone now where the loom attaches to the main loom?also anyone have the wiring diagram for it??
and will the later type of sensor fit(mine fits into the small grill under the drivers side of the front bumper)
any help would be grateful

Will have a look at my haynes manual when i get home mate, may be able to scan you in a wiring diagram if I can find one.
