Anyone ever sprayed their ariel?

Alright folks, new topic tonight. I am looking into these small stubby ariels. Quite simple and sleek haha. Has anyone ever sprayed the part thats attached to the roof of the car? Was thinking about doing this but is there reasons why i shouldnt?

And also instead of another new topic, what website is best for pressed plates? I want them but not sure about sending details to dubmeister. Anyone know of anything else?

I used dubmeister and they were good as gold. If you have access to a scanner you can scan the documents and e-mail them.

Didn't realise they accept them scanned, will look into that. Are they defo legal? heard about people being pulled for them, not wanting to waste 30 quid. Anyone sprayed ariel part then?

I sprayed the base of mine and it was fine i got a MK5 GTTDI ariel for my car as its standard ad shorter,also i got my plates from a ebay shop caled craftyplates.
