What the hell are you driving ??  Last year I had a Mark 4 2ltr GTI on a w plate with nil no claims for 996 fully comp. This year with one years ncb I have the w plate and an n plate 2 ltr GTI for 1038 fully comp !!!  You need to shop around Mate and try Brentacre as they allow mods that don't increase bhp for no extra cost.

its also worth noting its not unknown for the police to call an insurer to check your mods are declared if they stop you.....

Do you have any points on your licence? Did you cause any major accidents? What's the situation from the previous insurance you were on? If it was motor trade or business insurance and claim free, some insurers may look at this favourably provided your employer is able to give you a signed letter showing you were employed and a regular driver  :smiley:

Green light insurance is very competative price wise..! my insurance never went up with mods declared - exhaust, alloys, coilys! although Sky Insurance quoted me less than green light so went with them instead!
