which tyres??

Hi Everyone
                  I have the BBS 15" alloy's and would appreciate any info on which tyre's work well with the MK2 16v GTI, it has a missmatch of tyre's on at the moment so the handling is not what i expected and i am putting a lot of it down to cheap tyre's.
Any input would be greatfully appreciated

I have an 8V with 15" and standard suspension so I chose the Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres which are very grippy in most wheather conditions and also it reduces the road noise level a fair bit.

from what ive heard goodyear eagles are the best, or toyo proxes if your not as flush, and i reccommend 45 profile :laugh:

i went to my local trusty tyre place and asked their opinion for around ?200 for my bbs rs and they all said bf goodrich. very happy with them and they grip like hell!

i got toyo's for ?35 a corner

i wouldnt get 195/45 unless your car is v.low. id just stick with 195/50's

I recommend Yoko AVS sport theyre ?38 a corner from motor-world. ?The performance especially in the wet is second to none and the V tread pattern looks mean as hell ?:wink: :tongue:

I've got the toyo proxes at the moment and they are excellent in the dry. They offer good wet grip however the rear tyres on mine have plenty of tread left on them but they are slightley perished so the back end will kick out on roundabounts when pushing it. My mate has the the Good Year Hydragrips on his car and the speed he takes corners in the wet is beyond belief!
