What have you done with the 18's? Please say you haven't sold them already - been looking for a decent set of OE 18's.....

Long gone...

Guys, don't touch spitandpolish in Kent with a barge pole for wheels, they are very sloppy now and do a sh1t job.

You might be right but I having tried both wheel sizes on my car, I genuinely believe the ride to be better on the 17" wheels.

It could be psychological, but you do have taller sidewalls on the 17" so they SHOULD ride better.

Like I say, the type of tyre thay you are running (i.e. the stiffness of the sidewalls) probably makes more of a difference.

Thats purely down to tyre size. Are they 40 diametre or 45 on the 17's?

18" are 225/40, the 17" are 225/45 - so slightly taller sidewalls.

Can't comment on this yet, get mine back tomorrow, although my tyre guy sent them back once already, as they were pitted. Will have to wait and see what they look like tomorrow.

I need to get 3 or 4 of the alloys refurbished, any recommendations for London or South East?

Lepsons, the best there is an not as expensive as people may think.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
