ED30 steering wheel on a GTI?
« on: 28 July 2010, 16:44 »
Hi guys

As the title suggests is it possible to fit the ED30 steering wheel onto a regular GTI. Or would it be cheaper to get my steering wheel re-wrapped in leather?

I have an 05 GTI so my multifunction buttons are in the old format, where you have the volume up and down, and the track select buttons are on the right hand side, and the menu, mute and phone buttons are on the left. If I got a new style ED30 steering wheel fitted I'm guessing I would need to get the new button format coded via VCDS?

The reason I want to change the steering wheel or re-wrap it is because of the red stitching, it looks amazing.

Any prices or websites would be an awesome help.

Thanks.
Mrk V, GTI, 3dr, DSG, heated seats, winter pack, cruise control, rear parking sensors and now thanks to GizzyWizzy and SteveP in the MK6 section a RCD 510. Awesome!

It would be much cheaper to re-wrap your existing steering wheel

First dibs on your wheel if you sell it mate, im after a MK5 GTI multifunction wheel with DSG paddles (mines also an 05 GTI).

Might help sway your mind! :)
