If you lacquer the paint, it wont be matt anymore!

paint shops should do satin lacquer, but it wo't be in rattly can format- just for gun finish and yeah it'll take it away from being matt. Will give ita sort of sheen to it

This may be of interest, you can shoot a clear coat over the matt paint with a flattening agent in it to achieve the desired effect. However it is a bit of trial and error to get the look you want so test pieces are essential as is leaving the to dry for the correct length of time.
