arghhhhhhhh!! Dash Problems again!!!

I am starting to fall out with this bloody dash now!

OK so I bought another dash of ebay which stated it was for a 89-99 Golf GTi 16v!!! And guess what, its not the same as the one we have!

Can anyone tell me the technical name for this dash?

Anyone got one, or know a way of fixing this one?

I have plugged the new speedo cable in and turned and its showing signs of working, but the rev counter was not working when it was in the car?

I reset the ecu and nothing.

It does work when you get high up in the rev range, how high I cant tell you tho as its not working right.

Any ideas help would be great, or if anyone wants to come round and do it for me., that would be welcomed.

you've got a 90spec dash, so you need 90-92 dash. just check the pictures from the auction/for sale post and make sure its got 1 plug, and an 8k rev counter.

if rev counter only works when revs are really high that would suggest its knackered

Can you have a look in this thread and just tell me if you think these two are the same, they look the same to me but have different colour connectors to are old one

yep thats the right type, as long as its single plug wit will work!
