drivers side electric mirror problem

it seems as if the wire has  " detached "  from the back of the mirror

I can hear it all moving when  I trie to adjust it but the mirror itself does not  move ?

can I get inside to sort it / if so how do I get inside

sounds like the motor itself is damaged inside, or its all been bodged together :(
best thing to do is attempt to remove the glass to see whats up behind it. luckily for you there are tons of mk3s appaering in scrappies now so finding a replacment should be easy :)
