Knock him down to 5k and you're on the right track, argue that the cam belt will need replacing asap (even though you're safe for now) and that it'll cost you ?300 straight off.
Check all the radio controls work, it should also have either manual air con (standard) or climatronic, 3 rear head rests and recaro seats ("recaro" will be stiched into the seats)
Make sure the radio is off on the test drive, and aswell as listening for the usual knocks and creaks, listen for any suspect noises from the turbo. If you hear a fluttering noise when letting off the gas, it'll be the diverter valve knackered. Not expensive to replace (?40 ish) but its another good reason to get money off the asking price.
An uneven vibrating from the clutch could be the flywheel.. if its bad then walk away, you don't want to be shelling out for that !
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
ps. any money you get knocked off will go to fund the modifications
