Is it worth fitting a high lift CAM in a GOLF GTI mk2 8v with 135,000 on the clock
I want a bit more power but I’ve I keep thinking twice with having so many miles on the clock.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
Thanks,
Garry

As long as the bottom end of the engine is sound then go for it. After all it is a VW and 100,000 miles isnt really that much anymore.

Thanks for the advice!
Just one more question, which CAM would you put in an 8v? something that gives the car more on the top end, or it that not possible?
cheers again!!

I think the wilder the cam the more you get top end and you lose a bit a the bottom.
