Morning All,
just thought i'd say Hi - have had several GTi's in the past but not for some years; bought a MkIII '96 plate GTi last night for a bargain price. She's a 5-door model and just needs some TLC and an hour or two cleaning and ploshing before i post any pics.
Friven here for a few miles now and I think she could do with some new suspension as it really wallows when driving along (you'd get sea sick qute easily if you were on it too long) and the brakes could do with a total overhaul - there's a lot of travel in the peddle and its quite soft.
Other than that the engine feels nice and tight - she's only got 104k in the clock so plenty life left in the old girl yet....
