Ported Head

I want to get my GTi 8 valve head ported, any suggestions on where to get them done. I have seen that you can buy them already done but i have been told they are a bit of a con. Any suggestions on where to take it.

where abouts are you? i know of a guy who builds touring car engines who is doing mine.
