Pugilism

Been offered the chance to cover a boxing match for a local paper... on the strength of my rugby photography!!  :huh:

ummm... errrrr... never been to a boxing match before!

errrrr..... any suggestions? am I on a hiding to nothing?

I'd probably suggest going down to your local boxing club and asking if you could photograph some of the fighters sparring, using the bags and doing some pad work.

that should give you an 'idea' if you can get he feel for it....

this is what I was going to do... expect I got another call asking if I could do it the following night...and seeing as though I was working the day before and very early the next morning I passed on the opportunity... didn't fancy getting in past 1am and getting up at 6 for a days work :(
