Thats what i meant by thermal tape. Sorry wasn't sure what it was called. I had a 4 branch on an 8v i had about 5 years ago and went the thermal tape route. The tape wasn't cheap either. Surprised at what it cost.
Within 6 months i went to remove the exhaust and the manifold basically crumbled in my hand. I did the headers on a big block Ford v8 at the same time and the same thing happened with those. lol. I replaced the headers on the ford and had the coated by HPC and never had another problem with them and they stayed almose as cool as the iron manifolds.
