stupid question probably re: throttle bodie

when i take the throttle bodie off is it ok to just tape the throttle cable to the side or will it need re-adjusting when i put it back on? probably a stupid question lol   also is it worth getting a new gasket or if the old one looks ok is it ok to re-use it?

If a mk3 then yes, i left mine hanging  and replace the gasket if it looks nakard as a few people have said on this forum.

cable will be fine mate but i always replace any gasket thats been removed

cheers, ill grab a gasket tomorrow then before i remove it.
