found out today that it was weber 45's you put on golf 16v mk2 :P so could you fit them and wot would you need to do? how much would it cost to set them up by a specialist?

From what I've read.


They need to be jetted to the correct engine size and need to be setup correctly, probably with the use of a rolling road.

Your best bet is to ring a local company and ask how much it would cost, or find the names of a few well known specialists.

Carb's sound great but they are bit expensive. You'd be better off speaking to Badger5 for some ITBs if you've got dosh to burn.

These are from an ae101 20v silvertop... bore spacing is 0.5mm off VW... I'll be having a play with them later this year.

i had twin 40s on my 16v mk2 tbh they were pants sounded the nuts but well juicy and could never get them set up propaly had them on rollers and set up by b d engineering in kent cost wise was around £130 with all jets ect

but on the other hand my m8 has same set but with 45s and runs like a dream so mayby it was just my luck lol altho both set up in same place  :laugh:
