Needin help please,After head skim,head gasket,no1 cyl not firin,plug sparks out the cyl,plug is wet,when the plug is in car misses,when i pull the lead off there is no change to the running,Has had new cap/rotorarm,leads and plugs?.also found a yellow wire behind the fusebox what had melted through,it comes of the light switch and goes to a single yellow wire with a spade conecter,do you know what this wire is for?cheers mark.

Could still be the plug, swap one over from another cylinder and see if the 'miss' moves to thet one.

been told the injector might be faulty as my sump that pertol in it be4 i done the head?cud this be right if so is there any way to check this.cheers.

if the cylinder was full of petrol it could be fowling up your new plug. take them all out and leave it for a few hours to let it all evaporate away. clean up the plug tips & try again. worth checking the plug actually sparks as well. pull the fuel pump relay #80 then fit sparky to lead #1, rest it on the engine and crank it over, make sure you get a good spark.

yellow wire sounds like dimdip resistor,look on chassis leg just below the driver side headlight. about size n shape of a pack o polos with a yellow wire out of each end. follow the wiring till you find a 2 pin plug, disconnect it and throw the resistor in the bin.
