Hi all, completely new to this forum and completely new to the Golf. Thinking of getting myself a Mk3 GTI, stripping it down and re-building it the way I want.
Obviously this forum is gonna be very biased towards the car but is there anything I need to watch out for with these cars?
I have a list of stuff I was thinking of doing, still just ideas in the head but just wanted to see what everyone thought and whether these would be possible. Also anybody with other ideas feel free to chip in, the more the merrier

Paint engine head

Braided / silicone engine hoses (I want lots of shiny stuff in the engine

Full boot build (amps + subs)

Lightweight carbon fibre bonnet

Xenon angel eye headlights (+ strobes???)

Something nicer with the seats

Yep, I know pretty big project I think but I want a real peach of a car when I'm done, no limit on time really, just gonna do it over time.
