Dog-bone mounts - I'm 99% sure when I looked into it the R32 was about £70 (same price as THS FR3) and the standard 1.8T around £40.  The main (only?) difference being the stiffness of the bushes.

Best way to find out price is give VW a hollar with these part numbers:
1.8T  1J0199851AA
R32   1J0199851AM

BTW these part numbers differ for automatics.

i`m looking for the differences in fitment between the O/S engine mounts on the R32 and 1.8t.
by the way, whats the engine code for the R32?, i can probably get some info from that.
thanks, jamie.

right, just for your information.
i picked up  a set of R32 mounts today to have a play with.
i planned to modify my mounts while using the R32 ones but discovered the R/h mounts were slightly different.
the gearbox mount is the same fitment and seems very slightly beefier.
i used the gearbox mount but fount i couldnt use the R32 one as the bracket which bolted to the engine was different and was the only difference infact and could be easily pressed out and swapped. (rubber mounts in the R32 one seem just as spongy anyway)
1.8t gearbox mount part number is 1JO 199 555 AJ
R32 gearbox mount part number is 1JO 999 555 WC1
1.8t engine mount part number is 1J0 199 262 BF
R32 engine mount part number is  1J0 199 262 CE
wether it will make any difference or not i dont know as i havent driven the car yet. i will test it tomorrow and find out.
you might have your toungues in your cheeks at the moment and wondering what the hell am i up to and whats the point in this useless information, but i am trying to develop something you may find interesting. time will tell with a little trial and error, it might never happen but unless i try, it surely wont.
