A little splutter!!
« on: 21 March 2010, 16:13 »
Hi Guys,I've recently bought a 92k plate mk2,Having a few little probs but nothing too worrying
The car on initial start up runs fine but if you leave it turned off for a few hours and then go to start it up again it coughs and splutters and seems as if it won't start, give it some juice and it clears itself and then runs fine,
Upon inspection i've noticed a crack in the inlet manifold would this be the cause???

8 or 16V? 8V - it could be the blue temp sender on the front of the engine, giving a bad signal?
