17705 Problem
« on: 20 March 2010, 22:38 »
Hi all,

I have noticed that 17705 problem a lot in this forum.

I also have the same problem engine management light. Visited my local garage and was told it could be 02 sensor or throttle body.
But the guy as the garage cleared the fault and told me it could return. The car had been driving like a dog. poor mpg and no power.

1 Week later engine management light again this time same problem fuel to rich.

Took it to my local garage found out that some of the hoses had split in.  New Hose kit fitted and Throttle body cleaned told and told it's not o2 sensor. Drove the car and it was really responsive.

1 week later engine management light came on again took it back to the garage and they guys cleared some sensor and the fault.

Hope it doesn't come back.

Any idea's guys what it could be?

can you get the exact fault code? there are several different fuel related codes that can point to very different things.
