running probs

hi i have a mk3 gti 8v agg engine code when driving its fine then when it gets to 3k it feels like its holding back but if i take my foot of the gas and put it back down  its fine any idears whould the thortle body being dity cause this

yeah i know its the maf now unpluged it and car was fine went like a roocket but drunk loads oof fuel waiting on a new one
