Arrrrr so fed up!!

Have been this week slowly but my K03s Turbo on my golf every thing was going well and have been realy injoying playing with the turbo swap, UNTILL about 40mins ago when every thing is completed, i put the water into the header tank and heard a drip drip sound coming from under the car  :sad: :shocked:
Get back under the car and found the water line that sits right at the back of the engine. The one thats prity much inposable to get to from any direction from the turbo to the engine, Is leaking from the bandgo.
To say that im a little  :angry: and  :sick: not to menchan fed up would be a understatment!!!!

Im hoping to cut down a alan key tomorroe and get that on the back of the bolt ( if i can) and give it a realy mega titan and hope that does the job. If not its a turbo out agane jobby which is not what i fill like doing agane  :sad: :sad: :sad:

Did you use copper washers on the banjo bolt mate? It will leak if not...

you mean the one on the turbo or the block? If you mean the one on the turbo you'll have to get the manifold off or drop the turbo again, no way of getting to it otherwise...

Aye seconded, he must mean that one.

Washers should be used both sides of the lines, im guessing 1 was missed out or the simply the bolt loose?

Pain in the ass whichever way.

Both wahers are there but where i made the biggest mistake was ASUMING when i got the turbo this line had never come off before  :rolleyes:
Its a secand hand one and the water line came with the turbo atached to it already.
I had it on the bench and gave it a good queez to make shore it was tight and it seemed like it was. So thort theres no point in taking it off for the sake of it if it tight.   

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW i wich i had now  :sad: :undecided: :rolleyes:

The lline you said Waz is the ome corsing me the problems. Im hoping if i cut the alan key and take the 3 bols of the turbo to manifold this will give me enuff room to give it a bit more of a tug. If that does work then is every F**king thing off agan  :sick:

a cut down allen key can work - i've watched nick do it. He took the bolt out completely, ground the sides flat so you could get a spanner on it, replaced the washers then tightened it all back up. Wasn't an easy task.. but got the job done.

don't forget the turbo support bracket bolt on the back of the block too mate. You might be lucky and manage to drop the turbo enough to do it, hope so

At least i know it can be done then without taking the turbo off agane conpletly . Cheers Chris for the advice  :smiley:

Well that didnt work  :sad:
Every thing is back off the car agane and have just got back from VW after ordering another load of washers and gaskets  :rolleyes:
