Quick Question for the Pros.
« on: 14 March 2010, 15:46 »
Few months ago I went on a shopping spree at Halfords, ended up with few bits including 2 x 5 LitreBottles of Turtle Wax Nano Tech car wash, 2 x big bottles of Autoglym Super Resin Polish and then went online and bought 915 Collinite Wax after being recommended it.

Anyway, yesterday I spent about 2 hours washing/polishing/waxing my car ... results? Absolutely stunning, mirror reflection, so money well spent.

Question is ... Should you always polish after a car wash? or should I just wash & dry and then say on my 4th car wash end up applying polish & wax again?

if you've polished the car well you shouldnt need to do it for atleast 4/6 months or longer in some cases, if you give your car a quick wax after each or every other wash you could span the polishing out to yearly which in my opinion is better for your car as over polishing is not good for your paint thickness.

polishing will strip any wax or sealant previously applied to the paint.
