You tend to get what you pay for. Most people stick to the tried and tested maps; revo, bluefin etc

Don't mince around!!!!!!!!! I did for ages and kept weighing each different tuner against others, and ended up just totally confused

But finally at GTI international cos Revo had a fab hot babe promoting their products, I went for stage one with switch thingy - No regrets at all car is wonderful, can be an total animal or a complete lady. So close yer eyes throw a dart and just do it. They are all good, Mk5 is a tried and tested platform pretty much all issues long since worked out.

I ultimately chose my remap cos of the hot babe!

Go out and enjoy yer mota again, I do every day now!

HTH cheers

i don't recall hearing anything bad about them, but i wouldn't have too much faith in the power claims.. don't get me wrong you'll love the power increase but the graph for the mk5 on their website seem to be drawn in mspaint, or on an etch-a-sketch. 265bhp from just a remap and no supporting mods is, to be polite, optimistic. 240 is more reasonable and will still be enough to put a big grin on your face.

Oh and shop around for that switch unit thing, it's just a generic alientech powergate slave with a rebranded face plate and a lot of companies are using them so you might find one secondhand. I might even have a couple of spares (pm me).

p.s the statement "you get what you pay for" isn't always the case in this respect :afro:

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?
