really basic question from a new mk4 owner !!!

Is the rear washer fed from the front bottle, or is there a seperate one to fill ??

mate if its not working on the rear there are lots of links on here as this is a normal golf 4 problem and yes only one water bottle.

Thanks mate,  I searched and saw loads of posts on blocked pipes, replacing jets etc etc, but nothing I saw stood out and told me if there was a seperate bottle for the rear.

Believe me, I'm scared to post on this forum without searching old posts first !!!

mate we all have to learn dont worry some of the boys take the -iss but are always ready to help try removing the boot trim and see if the washer pipe has come off you got any water in the boot.

I was exagerating a little about being scared to post,  certainly nothing wrong with a bit of banter 

anyhow, I only picked the car up friday night and havent really had 5 minutes for a proper look around yet, I just noticed the rear wash wasnt squirting and when I popped in a garage to top up couldnt see a bottle anywhere, hence why I've asked.   I owned one of these about 5 years ago, but couldnt remember if it was seperate!!

I havent noticed any water or dampness in the boot but will have a look behind trims etc as soon as I get chance.

If it has popped off in the headliner, look behind the n/s trim (where the cubby hole is) in the boot. There tends to be an area where a little reservoir builds up if its been leaking. Will need to take out the carpet, but it isn't a massive headache.
