Well fitting a cambelt is not for the DIY guy thats for sure, you really would benefit from past experience, don't do the job properly, crank the engine, bend the valves. job well done there. Think thats the point TJG was making.

Fitting a cambelt is for the DIY guy.

You only need a half decent socket set, at most a few other inexpensive tools.

But not every one possesses common sense or the ability to take things apart. Cambelt can be done by a competent DIYer but if you fall shirt of that get a garage to do it
