how do i get my front fogs working ?
« on: 23 February 2010, 10:20 »
Hi all,

Just bought some clear front fog / indicators and they look mint! going to fit them this afternoon but my car doesn't have front fogs, is it a big job to get them wired in to the existing fog light switch?

because i've never had fog lights on her i dont think it'll matter if i cant wire them in because i'm a big believer in
not haing your fog lights on unless its actually foggy lol

cheers

You will need the headlight/foglight loom from a later car that had them on and you will also need the two position headlight switch from the same car

all of which are simple swap plug and play items, have a look on ebay or get mooching round your scrappy for a bargain.

Things needed:

1. Fogs (obviously, lol)
2. Headlight switch with front fogs feature (double pull)
3. Fog light loom (it will be a complete loom with plugs for headlights/horn, etc, unless you buy some aftermarket one)
4. Reflector blanks that go between the fog and the indicator

That's it. Connecting is simple.

You will have to swap your old loom with the new one, and then just fit the fogs and plug everything.
