Car idle problem, help advice required...

Hello all, firstly thanks for taking time to read this.

I have a problem with my 130pd, my revs when at idle sit at 1k regardless if the car is hot or cold, it always idle's at 1k.

I'm pretty sure most cars idle higher when cold then go lower one their upto running temp mine doesn't change at all.

Any ideas? Advice? anyone else have or have had the same problem?

Car has been like this since i've had it for the last 6 months or just over and in that time i've had it vagcom'd twice to see if there is generally anything wrong and nothing has ever come up on there.

What could be the problem? Also what are your revs at when cold and when warm?

Ok so knobody knows the answer, can somobody tell me how to bring my revs back down to earth?

On my old petrol cars you could just turn a screw or something to bring the revs down, is it done like these on these VW dervs?

you need VAGCOM to adjust the idle

I really would love to know what caused this in the first place.

Sometimes my car feels like it's being held back, what I mean by that is if I let go of the accelerator it slows down pretty quick, this car when my brother had it used to roll nicely when you let go of the accelerator.
My tyres are all pumped up, i've tried millers for the past month and a half on every fill up and nothing has changed, my maf has been changed for a new one, car has been vagcom'd and still no joy.

Something isn;t right somewhere but I need to find out as my mpg around town is almost always 33mpg and on motorway I struggle to get 50mpg if i'm lucky

I diagnostic session? Wouldn't that just be the car being plugged into Vagcom?
Or is it more intensive and more hands on?

Bit more than that I would have thought    Ring and speak to them - it could include rolling road time, live test logging on the road, visual inspection of all the boost pipes

Seeing as you're so close it would be silly not to let them look at it.  End of the day they have far more experience on these engines then a bunch of blokes on the internet
