16v doesn't like the damp.

As the title suggests i've been having problems with my 16v. Basically whenever it's wet or damp i have running problems, car starts fine but after about 1 minute the revs drop (never cuts out) and acceleration is a no go. If i drop the clutch and rev up to about 4-5k and then bring the clutch and accelerate up it clears it and is all fine although this is impossible in rush hour traffic. After that it is fine until next time i cold start.

Whenever the weather is dry and warm i don't have this problem. Any ideas?

check the coil and the other ignition components for cracking, if in doubt replace
