I have an RCD 510 fitted on my GTI and ever since i first got it in August09 it has been running perfectly with the Fiscon Bluetooth. Today i connected the phone up and when i pressed the phone key on the sterio unit it just muted the radio or the CD and didnt come up with any phone options. Normaly it would go to a different screen with my phonebook or popular numbers and show my network and signal strenght etc. Even if it is not connected and you press phone it would say 'no device connected' but today i cant get anything. Its as if the functinality has disappeared!
The Fiscon is still working as it will pair up and if you make a call it will put it through the speakers but you just cant get into the phone display screen anymore. Tried swithcing it off and back on a couple of times but it didnt fix itself. I went into settings and for some reason it doesnt have phone settings there anymore (im sure it did have some there when i first had it set up), its like the whole feature has disappeared somehow.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do or will i need to take it along to VW? I noticed there is an option for a master reset but i havent tried that as i dont want everything reset unless its a last resort.
