Sorry about this but i need some help.
I have had my mk3 16v for less than a week and i am having a bit of trouble. Now i have had a good search before posting this but although i could find similar problems i couldn't find the exact thing.
Basically of a morning it starts on first turn of the key; drives away fine until i get about a quarter of a mile and then it starts coughing and spluttering but doesn't cut out. If i keep my foot on the throttle it eventually clears up and everythings fine after that.
This has happened every morning this week on the way to work but didn't occur on the way home (after standing still for 9 hours) until yesterday and tonight.
I'm sure it's going to be one of the common issues mentioned on here but a lot of those tend to be about cars stalling or cutting out which mine isn't doing. I know i could try these things out but i'm hoping some bright spark will know what this is because i could do with it sorting ASAP as i have just got this car after my last one blew up before christmas and i could do without telling the wife i'm having trouble with the car she didn't want me to buy.
