mk2 16v kr
« on: 24 January 2010, 17:55 »
ive got a 16v kr mk2 1991, and im putting a 2.0 litre 16v (9a i think) engine into it. i havent got the clutch or flywheel from the 2 litre, do i use the kr clutch/flywheel as i'll still be using the 1.8kr gearbox etc still? also ive noticed theres a few electrical sensors missing from the 9a engine, where the water outlet is on the head, do i unscrew and use the kr ones from the old engine? one last thing, ive heard various things about using different heads/cams, do i just use the kr cams or swap the heads completely? i dont want to swap the heads unless completely necessary because the 9a one has been rebuilt im told, and ill just swap the cams; if thats the only difference between em. soz 4 the long winded letter but i cant be arsed to write ten letters with bits of information in

match the clutch to the gearbox is what I was told...

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
