Suspension spanners
« on: 25 October 2004, 17:25 »
Hi
I'm running avo coilovers on my MkI and want to adjust height. Unfortunately, I've only got the ride adjusting knobly thing, any ideas where I can get the correct c spanner for the height adjustment?

Cheers

Either get a peice of soft pine and a mallet and bash the height nuts so that they turn. (the soft wood wont damage the coilies)

or Blue's top tip:? 8)

Use a rubber oil filter spanner to turn the height nuts. This works best

Sorry i dont know where you can buy one.

Most motorcycle shops should have these in stock for adjusting rear shocks. The ones you buy there would more then likely be adjustable to cover about any size. hope this helps.

Brad,
thanks for the motorcycle tip, I'll check it out.

Speedy,
It's been a nightmare m8, new clutch, master & slave cylinders and lots of tweaking and she's still knackered >:(
I'm getting quotes for getting the box rebuilt at the moment, stealth have been the best at ?550 :o,  but they have come highly recommended.

I really hope that you don't have the same problems that I've had, it's bl**dy annoying as well as expensive, and worst of all I really miss driving her :'(

PS, has anyone got an old VR6 gearbox they want to get rid of?
