Heater blowing cold air
« on: 04 January 2010, 21:56 »
So I'm on my second mk3 8v. I just love em. Well it's a love hate relationship really.

My first one had a blinding heater, this one not so much.

It's not ice cold but by no means hot/warm.

What would I need to change/swap out the old one to make it blow hot air?

Thanks karl

Faulty thermostat or blocked matrix.

Cool thanks Wayne.

The thermostat is a pain on these isn't it?

Is the matrix behinds the dash?

Yes the matix is behind the dash, not sure on changing the thermostat, might also be down to a air lock.

Damn it. Why can't these things be straight forward!

It'll be a fun weekend for me then.

Is the car getting up to normal operating temperature?
