VW dealer offer on servicing - worth it?
« on: 04 January 2010, 15:00 »

I'll be picking up a MK5 GTI on Wednesday & the dealer mentioned today that they are offering 2yrs servicing + a free MOT for £299

I'm guessing that this is a pretty good deal - I can't imagine VW servicing is normally very cheap?

I'd get them to itemise that as depending on the mileage of the car will determine what work is required on both of those services

i.e. say 40,000 miles the spark plugs require replacing - is that covered or extra

Also find out the type of oil used etc etc

Do a little more digging before parting with your cash :afro:

I know what you mean about been cautious...

The paperwork does say "as per manufacturers schedule" so I'm pretty sure it should cover everything as per standard - they'll collect the car & drop it off afterwards too, sounds reasonable although I'll ask a couple more questions to be on the safe side

 thanks
